Rabbit on the Moon
This is the eighteenth album and third EP published, a work inspired by space and especially by the Earth's natural satellite, "The Moon" and especially by the legends that talk about the rabbit that is printed on its visible face. Each culture has a legend that explains how you can see a rabbit on the Moon.
The Moon has always captured the attention of humanity, since the dawn itself. Its shape, its size, its brightness and splendor that in the darkest nights dares to illuminate the darkness when the Sun is not there; that mysticism that leaves no one indifferent and draws the attention of everyone who looks at it even if it is not their first time.
The music for this album is based on sounds and rhythms that evoke space, the universe, the Moon. When I composed the music I remembered my visits to the planetarium, my endless virtual tours of space simulators and stargazing at my grandparents' house.
The Moon and stars are some of my favorite things in this world.
The importance and influence of the Moon is such that it has shaped much of life on Earth, creating natural cycles of migrations, mating seasons, and for millennia it has been a source of inspiration for numerous legends, stories, myths, and desires for humanity.
The rabbit that is drawn on the surface of the Moon thanks to the effect of pareidolia has been explained in countless legends throughout the world.
In the pre-Hispanic world it is said that Quetzalcoatl went down to earth and walked for a long time until he became tired and hungry, and it was he who put the rabbit on the Moon after a rabbit that was walking around the place offered to serve as food. So that Quetzalcoatl would not die, so that it would serve as a reminder of his noble act, the god raised the rabbit high and captured its image on the Moon.
In another legend it says that two gods "Tecuzitecatl" (the rich god) and "Nanahuatzin" (the poor god) sacrificed themselves in order to create the Fifth Sun that would illuminate our era, both entered into penance and immediately completed the ritual by throwing themselves into a big bonfire; Tecuzitecatl repented so he did not throw himself, but Nanahuatzin did not hesitate and threw himself into the bonfire followed by Tecuzitecatl who did not want to stay behind and be embarrassed. After a while, two suns emerged in the East; The other gods, upon seeing this, took a white rabbit that was passing through the place and threw it into the second sun, thereby subtracting its brightness and turning it white, thus creating the Moon.

In another legend tells that two gods "Tecuzitecatl" (the rich god) and "Nanahuatzin" (the poor god) sacrificed themselves in order to create the Fifth Sun that would illuminate our era, both entered into penance and at the moment completed the ritual by throwing themselves into a great bonfire; Tecuzitecatl suddenly for what he did not throw himself, but Nanahuatzin did not doubt it and threw himself into the fire followed by Tecuzitecatl who did not want to be left behind and be ashamed. After a while two suns rose in the East; When the other gods saw this, they took a white rabbit that passed through the place and threw it to the second sun, thereby reducing its brightness and turning it white, thus creating the Moon.
The Japanese see on the surface of the moon the image of a rabbit pounding rice with a hammer to prepare mochi; And so many cultures have found infinite inspiration on the Moon to create stories and live based on their cycles around the earth.
Another reason for choosing the theme of the rabbit and Moon is because the town of origin of my father and grandfather is called Tochtepec, translated as "Hill of the Rabbits", which is why the inhabitants of the town are called rabbits; one last reason why choosing the rabbit on the moon theme is the same as why my character Conni is a white bunny. A long time ago we had a pet rabbit which came to our house injured and after much care that bunny recovered and became a huge white rabbit.

About Music
1.- "Alfa, Beta, Caroteno" The first track is a melody with a calm rhythm and psychedelic touches, inspired by the emptiness of space and the celestial bodies that inhabit it.
The name Alpha (α) is the beginning and beta (β) the continuity, and Carotene is a joke and a reference to the β-carotene in fruits and especially carrots, which are related to rabbits.
2.- "Cometa & Lady Moon" The second track is a melody inspired by the majesty of the universe and celestial bodies that adorn the night sky. The stars, planets, asteroids and comets that circulate the Milky Way and that currently only a few can really appreciate.
The name is a reference to the series "Miss Comet" from 1978.
3.- "Espacio Sideral" The third track is inspired by space missions and especially the Apollo 11 mission on the moon, at that moment when man set foot on the Moon. A historical moment which (whether real or not), has inspired new generations to find the way to explore the universe.
4.- "Just a Kid" The fourth track is called "Just a boy", because generally when we are children, we see the universe for the first time, its wonders and horrors. Many of what is making the advancement of humanity possible today, were once only boys and girls who looked up and imagined that it might be possible to reach the Moon and space.
5.- “Sea of Restlessness" It is a melody with a smooth rhythm, when I made it I wondered how it would feel to float in space and to be able to see the earth rotating in front of you in all its splendor.
Obviously the "Mare Tranquillitatis" also has to be the name of the place where the Apollo 11 lunar module descended and the first steps on the Moon were taken.
6.- "Vive en Mi" To conclude, I will only say that the only thing that has motivated many of us from childhood to continue are the dreams that have motivated countless people to take risks and seek to make their wishes come true.
This is the last melody of this little work.
